<The Study of Mundane>
Location: Gallery GAIA, Broolyn, NY
Year: 2020
The solo exhibition <The Study of Mundane> aimed to demonstrate the creative process involved in addressing the mundane of everyday life. It also highlighted my deep interest in banal construction materials such as outlets and valves - materials that most designers regard as inferior and crude. The exhibition included sculptural installations, a series of early ink drawings, photos of the space where I lived and worked, and some writings.
The show was opened on March 5th, 2020, during the outbreak of the pandemic. The city was in full lockdown a week later. The show was taken down in early June when the city began to reopen.
