A Productive Detour
Proposal for a Contemporary Chapel
After a long day of preaching, the night finally falls. The breeze is filled with chirping crickets and whispering leaves. He fades into the woods, alone, to seek for God from within.
The quest is deepest in solitude.
While religions are practiced through collective rituals, the spiritual journeys are personal and private. Instead of a single, collective interior space, the contemporary chapel shall be a garden for wanderers. The boundaries shall be blurred and circulations shall take place in meandering forms.
